Evelyn Watkins

Bassoonist Evelyn Watkins has been playing in the Mobile Symphony Orchestra for over a decade. Watkins has also played principal bassoon with the Gulf Coast Symphony and the Pensacola Symphony orchestras.
Watkins was graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with highest honors, where she majored in both English and music education. She did her graduate studies in the field of education at USM, as well.
Woodwind coach for the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra, Watkins also teaches English at Vigor High School, directs the choir at Providence Presbyterian Church, teaches private music lessons, and is a freelance writer/editor.
