Music Director Scott Speck will lead the Mobile Symphony Orchestra for another three years, at least. Executive director Greg Gordon announced the new contract last week.

"The MSO's relationship with Scott over the past decade has been very rewarding on many levels," Gordon says. "Through his deep knowledge of the repertoire and his understanding of the human experience, he is able to connect our audience with the music and musicians. "The excitement and energy in the air at our concerts is incredible and our season renewal rate, which is above industry standards, is a good indicator of what Scott brings to the table. Our recent addition of Sunday matinee performances to our entire season was patron-driven and fueled by what takes place in the hall."
