The Mobile Symphony and the Mobile Public Library Lecture@Noon series continues with a Wednesday, Apr. 10 lecture at noon with Rob Seebacher, conductor of the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra, University of South Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra
In anticipation of the MSO’s Russian Revolutionaries concert Apr. 13 and 14, Seebacher will present a lecture on the incredibly diverse composer Pytor Illyich Tchaikovsky. Through his Symphonies, Programmatic Music, Concerti and Ballets he crafted a sound that would influence Shostakovich, Prokofiev and many other masters of symphonic music.

The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra will present its third concert of the season—Musical Journeys—on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m. in the Saenger Theatre.
The Youth Orchestra, led by music director Robert J. Seebacher, will perform works by Wagner, Nielsen and Tchaikovsky. Nicole Carrion, a senior at Baker High School and winner of the 2012-2013 MSYO Concerto Competition, will perform Jacques Ibert’s Flute Concert.
As part of the MSO Discovery Series, Mobile Symphony musicians Enen Yu, violin;
Guo Sheng Huang, cello; and Robert Holm, piano—the Archduke Trio—will perform at the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. This is the third and final concert of the season in the MSO Discovery Series, which features Mobile Symphony musicians in chamber music concerts.

Mobile Symphony members Annette and Bret Heim—the Heim Duo—will play a recital of works for flute and classical guitar at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope on Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m.
The program includes sonatas by G. P. Telemann and Jean-Michel Damase, as well as a tango suite by Argentine
