First Violin

Milena Rusanova was born in Bulgaria, where she began studying the violin at the age of five, at the School of Arts in Ruse, Bulgaria. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance at the Musical Academy with Prof. “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2005 she attended Southeastern Louisiana University, studying with Dr.Yakov Voldman and became a member of the Southeastern Louisiana University Chamber Orchestra. Since September of 2006, she has been a member of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. She participated in Master courses with Dina Shnaiderman, Devi Erlih, and also took chamber music courses in Austria. In 2001 she won an award for a Bulgarian piece she played in the International competition, “The Music and the Land” in Sofia. During 2006 she won the Music Teacher National Association Young Artist State Competition and 2007 MTNA South Central String Division competition. During summer 2007 she participated in the Las Vegas Summer Music Festival where participated in a master class with Charles Castleman, William Harvey, Judd Sheranian, Aaron Janse. |
