Matthew Greenwood serves as Adjunct Percussion Faculty at the University of South Alabama and is a staff member with the USA Marching Band. He currently performs with the Mobile Symphony as well as the Northwest Florida Symphony. Mr. Greenwood holds a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the Florida State University with Dr. John Parks IV, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Louisville with Dr. Greg Byrne. Recent performances include the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) with the Florida State University Percussion Ensemble, the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (W.A.S.B.E.) in Killarney, Ireland with the University of Louisville Wind Ensemble and the University of Louisville School of Music Carnegie Hall Tour in 2007. Mr. Greenwood is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, Pi Kappa Lambda and alumni of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity. Additional teachers include Brian Kushmaul of the Louisville Orchestra and James Rago, timpanist with the Louisville Orchestra. |
