Linda Abercrombie Print
Second Violin

Information: Linda began her studies at age five after watching her older sister play the violin. She studied privately with Ford Hummel who was a student of Leopold Auer at the same time as Heifitz. She taught music and academics for 18 years before moving to the Gulf Coast area. In 1988, a bad fall left her bow arm so severely broken that the doctors said she would never play again. Fortunately after tenacious work and therapy, she was able to regain a large part of the use of her arm. She enjoyes teaching classes and playing with the Mobile Symphony. "I am so privileged to be able to be a part of this wonderful musical family. we have such wonderful leadership in the symphony with maestro Scott Speck. I am also very fortunate to be a part of the education of students, along with other wonderful teachers, under the direction of Mrs. Sarah Wright".
