Second Violin

Information: Violinist Jie Gao joined the Mobile Symphony in September 2006. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University studying with Yakov Voldman and became a member of the Southeastern Louisiana University Chamber Orchestra in 2005. At a young age, she won Second Place in the Young Group at the Gaohua Cup Violin Competition in China. Two years later she became a member of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the China Conservatory of Music in music education. She also earned a Diploma in Violin Performance from the China Central Conservatory of Music. In 2006, she recorded an educational DVD which was published by China Central Conservatory. That same year Ms. Gao performed a solo violin recital in Beijing, and played the Vieuxtemps No.5 Violin Concerto with the SLU Chamber Orchestra.
