Bassist and music educator Jeb Stuart lives in Bay St. Louis MS. He graduated with honors in Jazz Studies from USM and studied graduate
composition, conducting and bass at LSU and continued bass studies with Gary Karr at the Harrt School of Music in Hartford CT.
Jeb has taught strings and orchestra in the East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools and Gulfport (MS) Public Schools. He currently teaches strings
in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools where he also directed the Salmen HS Jazz Ensemble and taught in the Talented Arts Program,
Jeb is currently Principal Bass with the Mobile Symphony and serves as Associate Principal Bass with the Baton Rouge Symphony. He also plays bass for the Saenger Theatre's (New Orleans) Broadway Series. He also freelances with various performers and artists in the New Orleans and Gulf South area.
Jeb is also a member of the "free jazz" bass duo
