Information: Buddy Porter is currently Director of Instrumental Music in the elementary schools for the Arch-Diocese of Mobile. In this position he co-ordinates the band program in nine elementary schools. He has served in that position for the past 22 years. He has been in music education for the past 42 years.He received his music education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He taught in the state of Mississippi for many years before returning to his home town of Mobile in 1975. He maintains a trombone teaching studio and is also a member of the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra while being very active in his church,Forest Hill Methodist. He and his wife Sherry have four grown children and nine very special grand children.
