In the fall of 2009, Bryan Dilks will begin serving as the Principal Percussionist of the Mobile Symphony. He has recently enjoyed playing as a section member of the orchestra during the 2008-2009 season. Bryan graduated with a Master’s degree in percussion performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 2008, having studied with Richard Brown. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in percussion performance under the direction of Dr. Grant Dalton at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Aside from orchestral playing, he also enjoys performing chamber music and has a particular interest in minimalist music. Bryan currently resides in Lilburn, Georgia. He enjoys both teaching privately and working with a high school percussion program in Greater Atlanta. |
